That's a winter holiday in the Bavarian Forest. The Ski region Großer Arber has the recent assets and best downhills in the Bavarian Forest. You can have it all from the familiy downhill to the World-Cup downhill. In the Czeck Republic the Ski region is very popular.

The cross-country fans and skating fans will discover ski-runs, which are daily improved. The cross-country centers are at 3 heights, so that you can use it even at the beginning of december, for example the ”Bretterschachten” (1100 - 1300 m).

The cross-country ski-run ”Hohenzollern” in Bayerisch Eisenstein connects the ”Bayerwald” ski-run, which is from Lohberg to the ”Dreisessel”. You can get to the start of the ski-run by foot or with the ski bus, which is free of charge with the ”Guti”. You can travel through the whole Arber Ski region with the ski bus.

The luge is not just fun for children. We have a great diversity of opportunities, like the natur luge in Bayerisch Eisenstein and at ”Brennes” or the familiy luge at the Großen Arber.

The highlights of the winter landscape can be explored far away from the busy places by snow shoes. There are weekly guided tours offered, with special views over our wonderful winter landscape.
